Swaziland:
Healing Place Church and Children's Cup

Healing Place Church (HPC) and Children's Cup partner to serve the people of Swaziland. HPC is a pioneering church with a "vision to be a healing place for a hurting world." This year, HPC planted a church in Mbabane, Swaziland alongside a thriving Children's Cup care point. This and other Children's Cup care points currently meet the needs of Swazi children through daily meals, Bible Clubs, basic medical care, leadership development, education and many other life-giving ministries.

This year, Go Global sent out long term missionaries, Greg and Kristin Evans, to serve alongside Healing Place Church in Swaziland. Check out their website gregandkristinevans.com for updates and prayer requests.

Short-Term Trip Information

2008 Trip Dates: July 21-30

On July 21-30th 2008, the Go Global short-term team jumped right in to serve alongside Children's Cup and HPC in Swaziland. Though the severity of the AIDS crisis, poverty, and depression in Swaziland seemed overwhelming, the team returned blessed and encouraged by the progress being made through these incredible ministries. The team saw so much more than just the need. They saw broken lives transformed and renewed as they shared Christ's love through various ministries. The team loved on hundreds of children at four different middle and high schools. They taught the children basketball skills while encouraging them with God's Word. The team also served in adult and children's ministry at Healing Place Church and three Children's Cup care points. Check out the team blog for more details and pictures from the field!

Engage International Internship

As an Engage intern to Swaziland, you will have the life-changing experience of serving ministries that are bringing the hope of Jesus to the Swazi people. You will be serving two great ministries, Healing Place Church and Children's Cup, as they partner to change a nation. Opportunities for interns in Swaziland include working with youth and children at Care Points to assisting with the ministry and administration of the HPC church plant.
