Financial FAQs
Will I receive a tax receipt for my donations?
Yes, tax receipts are processed and mailed each January for the previous year. If you require a year-to-date receipt for quarterly business tax filings, please email info@thelifechurch.com. Year-to-date receipts are only available for donations made during the current and prior calendar year.
Can I specify the designation for a financial gift?
Support options are based on the needs and goals of our field projects. We are not able to designate a gift to a more specific location than what we have listed under “Get Involved” for each project. However, general donations are welcome and can be found under “Give to Where Most Needed”.
What happens if more gifts are purchased than are needed in the field?
If the total amount received for a particular project exceeds funding needs for that project, your gift will be used to meet additional needs in that same project. For example, if more school construction donations are given than needed in the course of the project, additional funding will meet other needs of the same or similar population in India, including things such as health care, church construction, etc.
What is included in the price of a gift?
Gift amounts include the actual and management costs associated with purchasing and/or delivering an item or carrying out the service. It reflects the total amount needed to make that specific activity happen, whether it’s shipping and distributing pharmaceuticals, or building a home for an orphan in Africa.
What happens if not enough donations are given to cover the cost of an item?
If not enough donations are given to cover the full cost of a project item, donations will be pooled with other funding sources to meet the goals of another item within the same project.
