Amazing!

The mission trip to St. Louis was beyond awesome. It’s so hard to describe how cool it is to people that haven’t gone. I had no clue I was even going. The weeks prior to the trip I heard it announced but I thought, “no I don’t want to go. I don’t know anyone that’s going. Besides, I’m going to camp this summer. That’s good enough.” But about 2 weeks before the trip I felt like I wanted to go. So I signed up. From then on I was excited about it and looking forward to it.

Just being in the inner city of St. Louis, knowing that God knew I was going to be there was amazing. He knew I was going to overcome my fear of praying with people. I can’t lie, I was still extremely nervous but I did it. And God knew it was all gonna happen! He was with me the whole time.

My words to anyone who didn’t go, God is AMAZING! He really showed himself real to me on that trip. Even through all of the scrubbing of the Dream Center bathrooms, the sweating outside in the extreme heat, the cooking in the kitchen, the babysitting of the nursery children, it was a blast. I made amazing friends and memories that will last a lifetime. I wouldn’t trade that experience for anything. Because I knew that I was serving on hands and knees for Jesus’ sake. If you’re just completely open to God’s plan, He will show Himself real to you. If you’re scared like I was, you just HAVE to put that behind you and let God use you. It’s such an amazing feeling to know that I was pouring life and encouragement into those people’s hearts. I always heard that “God is good” and “your life is so much better with Jesus shining through”. I believed it all but I wasn’t living it all. Now I’m completely sold out for the cause of Christ and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made!
