Blessing – This is the word that comes to mind repeatedly when reflecting on our mission trip to Uganda. From the time it was decided that we would be part of the team that that would build a teacher’s home in one of the three current Watoto villages, our lives have been extraordinarily blessed. One brick at a time, we became part of something larger than ourselves – God’s plan for the people of Uganda and God’s heart for everyone in the world.

That brick and mortar house we built may only shelter one teacher, but that one teacher will impact the lives of many rescued children – teaching them to be leaders, encouraging them to pursue their dreams, and most importantly, pointing them in the direction of the One who saved them, Jesus Christ. No doubt, their lives will be blessed, but we feel even more honored by the opportunity we had to be His hands and His feet to the people of Uganda – to show His love to His people. That’s real blessing.
